Automated Search by Sound Engine
September 21, 2010

Myna is a new kind of search engine that listens to, analyzes and indexes music based on mood, sound and texture, automatically and continuously comparing songs to provide accurate and relevant search results through cognition. This kind of search-by-sound allows users to search catalogs with their own ears as opposed to key words, finding music that consistently sounds similar.

Additionally, Myna has the ability to autonomously generate personalized playlists based on song-to-song searches, which can be created by either analyzing a user’s past listening history, or seeding the search with a song to construct a new playlist.
